Assert Problem with Alesis SR-18

Hello Alesis Support,

I have a problem with the drum machine Alesis SR-18. I get the following error message.
1. Assert tables ¥ tbl.c: 139! J || (sampleIndex [j-1]> = 0
2. Assert pattern ¥ pattmgr.c: 862 event-> Time> = prevTime

After the first error message I made a "system reinit". Now only the second error message appears in the display.

Please help me, what can be the cause of the error, what else can I do?

    It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

    this is certainly not a warranty case. I bought the device second-hand. Unfortunately, it has the error described. The repair in a specialized workshop will exceed the value of this device.

    Is there a possibility that I get some hints from you about this mistake? Is there perhaps a service manual for this device?

    I'm afraid I don't have any information on how to service the product yourself. Additionally, schematics are only available to our authorized service centers. Please connect with your nearest Support office (linked above) to inquire about servicing your SR18.
