Burst vs DM6 and Nitro

What are the differences in the burst vs the dm6 and nitro as far as sound and quality. The heads on the burst look thinner. I can't find any online reviews for the burst. Most of the reviews I was able to find on sites that sold the burst seemed to actually be for the dm6 or nitro. The burst comes with more (seat, headphones, stocks) but is cheaper so I'm guessing it's cheaper quality. Thanks.

  • Hi Michelle,

    Thanks for posting.

    The Burst Kit is essentially a re-branding of the DM6 kit and has the same sounds and patterns on it. The main difference between these two kits is the amount of pads they each come with (7 pieces on the Burst Kit vs 5 pieces with the DM6 kit).

    The NITRO kit features the following:

    * 8-piece electronic drumset with 3 cymbals
    * Dynamic and comfortable pads for great feel, natural response
    * 5” high-quality rubber pads (dual zone snare drum, 3 x single zone toms)
    * Kick pad tower with bass drum pedal included
    * 10” cymbals: ride cymbal, hi-hat, crash w/choke
    * 4-post aluminum rack—super solid for stability and flexibility
    * All connection cables, mounting hardware, drum sticks, drum key, and power supply included
    * Feature-packed Nitro electronic drum module
    * 40 ready-to-play classic and modern kits—385 drum and cymbal sounds
    * Built-in sequencer, metronome, and performance recorder add versatility
    * Sharpen your skills with 60 built-in play-along tracks
    * Use the CD/MP3 aux input to play along with your own songs
    * USB/MIDI connection for use with virtual instruments and recording software
    * MIDI in and out ports for connecting directly to stand-alone MIDI gear
    * Stereo line outputs connect to any sound system
    * Headphone output for private practice

  • Bill!... can you put a Burst Cable Snake on a DM6 Module and then add the extra pieces?
