I’m confused

Command Mesh Kit kick not responding

I had recently brought the kit and everything was working fine up until maybe 1 week after using it. The kick suddenly stopped responding. Everything else works though. I did the reasonable thing anyone would do; disconnected the cable and connected it again, nothing. Turned the volume up all the way for the kick and still nothing. Lastly, to check if it was the cable, I ran the kick cable to the snare and it worked fine. Connected the snare cable to the kick and didn't work.

It has to be something with the kick pad itself. I don't know what else I can do. Worst case scenario that I am not able to fix it with the help from anyone here, what else can be done? Any places I can take it or send it to get it fixed at? Thank you!

  • Uriel,
Something similar happened to me a while back with a DM10 kit. I contacted Alesis support and since my kit was almost new, they sent me out a new kick pad. No argument, no repair, no hassle. No problems since. I'd suggest you contact them first (via the webpage) and see what they might be able to do.

(Likely, you have a trigger that has disconnected, if I had to guess).
