Crash and Ride Cymbals Sensitivity

the cymbals for crash and ride are not giving out the required output sound. I have to hit it hard to get sound out of it, which sometimes does not help either. I have the Voice for the Crash and Ride to 1.6 (max) did not help.

  • Hello,

    Thanks for posting.

Does this happen across all kits on the module? If this is the case, try performing a reinitialization on the module. .

To reinitialize your kit, power on the module while holding down the + and - buttons. This will restore the factory settings, erasing any recorded data or changed settings, including User Kits, the User Pattern, and any volume, metronome, or Voice settings, which will return to their defaults.

Are you experiencing this low volume issue through main outputs, headphones or both?

  • This is only happening with the cymbals ride and crash, also with the Hi-Hat. I did a factory reset also.

Low volume is through main output and headphones also.

  • Thanks for the additional information.

On the DM6, you can adjust the volume of individual pads relative to each other. To make the cymbals louder, you can turn all the other drums down a little bit. Experiment until you find a volume that suits you.

Adjusting the volume of individual pads on the DM6:

    1. Press Voice.
    2. Then press Volume.
    3. Strike the pad you would like to adjust.
    4. Then use the + and - buttons to adjust the volume of the individual pad.
    5. To adjust another pad, strike that pad, and repeat step 4 above.
