Crimson II Snare problem
This is my second snare drum. The first one started missing triggers, and Guitar Center was kind enough to replace it. That was last week. Now, my new one is doing it as well. I decided to open her up and I discovered the problem. Pretty disappointing for something I bought 5 months ago. I'm seriously starting to regret this purchase.

Hi John,
Sorry you're having issues with your snare pad.
It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:
• Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.
or
• For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.
Make sure to reference or link this thread to help out the support team.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions. -

Or solder the thing probably faster than it was warranted , or waiting to get fixed

You can fix everything on the kit on your own if needed , the module different story ,the module needs to be updated no updates on it to may fixs bugs an allow the pro x hi hats to connect to module with a firmware update , instead of hearing o it works then others go it don't , alesis should address this instead of people buying in hope it does work , an why it should work with all your higher end kits not just the dm 8 and the 10 , totally not right !! This must be addressed in the long run less returns an disappointed buyers so far allot disappointed buyers!!

Is the issue that the wires need re soldering? Because I'm having the same issue as you guys. I'm on snare number 2 now. I don't even hit hard

It seems so. But if you soldering it on your own you might lose your warranty

I have the exact same issue and I didn ́t wanted to wait weeks for the repair just for a cable rupture like that. So I ́ve solded it together but unfortunately after playing 2 or 3 times it will break again...
I am so disappointed with the quality of a neary 1000€ e-drum. Of course my warranty will be gone... And now the trigger won ́t recognize the strike properly... It ́s like hitting the pad at around 50%... Even increasing the sensitivity won ́t change... -

How long does it take for them to repair it? I'm having the same issue but my wires are still connected.

It was never actually repaired by Alesis. They just replaced it. In total, they replaced 2 drums and 2 cymbals. The wires are just too thin. It's a poorly designed kit.

They are replacing mine but letting me keep the broken one. I'm going to take it to a shop and see if it can be redesigned. I already have an idea on reinforcing the slim plastic strip that seems to break.

Alright, glad you were able to get this resolved!
