I’m DEPRESSED

DM 10 PRO KICK DRUM TRAGEDY

WIRE FROM PIEZO TO DRUM PAD JUST SNAPPED, - SLID RIGHT APART- RATHER,

WHAT DO I REPLACE?

I took the head off to replace the batter head and the entire module came apart, the wire just unhooked like ir=t was very frail and faulty soldering. this was my first time ever touching the pad since its factory condition.

i was very delicate and made sure it would not fall or be unevenly weighted. It just split like hot butter.

why is the warranty so limited???!

  • Very sorry to hear about your pedal problem. What happened was caused by the fact that the kick pad batter has an attached piece of foam to the back of it that has to be carefully pulled away or even preheated slightly to loosen it before removing that head or it will pull the piezo apart as you see. If you can do some basic soldering you can rewire and reattach the foam correctly and carefully and put it all back together again more than likely. I've never had to do this but believe it or not there is a video on YouTube about exactly how to do that pad correctly.
