DM10 triggering layers

Hi everybody,
I would like to know if it is possible to trigger layers with DM10. For example I would like to have CongaLO sound (saved in layer A of the snare) when hitting SOFT the snare and CongaHI (saved in layer B of the snare) when hitting HARD the share.
Is it possible to work on triggering of single layer?
Thank you

  • Hello,
    Thank for posting.

I understand what you're asking. But unfortunately, this is not possible on the DM10 kit. Each voice consists of two layers, each with its own instrument. Both layers will sound together, helping to create powerful composite and layered sounds and timbers for a more dynamic performance. If you’d like, you can edit the instrument in a layer by pressing EDIT ACCOMP, using CURSOR UP / DOWN to select the category, then using the VALUE UP/DOWN or VALUE DIAL to change it. You may also toggle between each layer by pressing the EDIT INST button.

For more information, please visit pages 4 and 8 of the reference manual.

In the meantime, I'll be happy to submit this as a feature request for you.

  • I solved the problem assigning CongaLO sound to snare head and assigning CongaHI sound to snare rim.
It is not so comfortable to play but it's working.
