DMlite volume problems on snare, tom2 and Bass

My 2nd hand Alesis DMLite kit has a problem with the volume of the snare, Tom 2 and Bass. There is no sound or if there is it is very very very faint. Think I've been sold a dodgy set or is there a fix please.....?

  • Hi Dave,

    Thanks for posting.

Does this occur across multiple kits? Keep in mind that the volume of each kit can be adjusted individually:

    1. With the Variation Button lit red, double-press the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 Button to select Kit 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 (respectively); or, with the Variation Button lit green, double-press the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 Button to select Kit 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 (respectively).
    2. The display will show an L (level) and the volume level (00-32). Use the - or + Buttons to set the Kit's volume level. The default volume level is 28.
    3. Wait for 4 seconds. The drum module will automatically save the new setting.

If you're still having problems, this may indicate a hardware issue and would require service. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page.  Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.
