I’m running out of ideas

Electrical Engineering student trying to repair a Midiverb 2. Posted excellent videos and images.

I'm having trouble with an Alesis Midiverb 2. I'm using an AC power supply which I believe is adequate. I've replaced some of the capacitors but it actually seem to make things worse so I put most of the originals back in. Now it actually sort of functions.

Original condition:

Audio spectrum from the recording that seems to show it getting stuck on samples.

After I replaced most capacitors which made things worse and put almost all the originals back in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB2QEv...

Effects 50 - 69 are completely useless. Just static. I think I've narrowed the problem down to the clock or the ram. But I replaced the clock with what I thought was a good match and it behaved the same.

I notice when you swap back and forth the DIPs that appear to be the RAM, it behaves differently. Mostly just breaks everything. Any thoughts?
