  • Hi Martin,

Let's have you connect with your nearest Support Office. Their contact information will be listed there. Additionally, you may also submit a support ticket by selecting Technical Support from the drop-down menu.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Sadly I have not got anywhere with this.

I got a contact email re diagnostics and ran them (no apparent problems and reported back including photos of error codes I got when inserting the media card. I then got an email from a different person telling me to do the same thing, so I copied them into my first reply (but its the same email address). Since then heard nada.

    Help please.

    Martin

  • Hi Martin,

Let's have you try re-flashing the OS. You can download the operating system under the Docs and Downloads section at the product page on www.alesis.com

If this doesn't solve the issue, the Fusion will need to be serviced.

  • I don't seem to be able to do this. Downloading from Alesis.com I get a .bin file called Fusion Image v124 which is about 56 MB big. I copied this onto my CF card. When I try to upgrade (CF to HD drive) it tells me it is invalid firmware. When creating a back up the other way (HD drive to CF) a .bin file called Fusion OS v124.bin is created on the CF card, but this is only 2824 kB in size.

When I power up with the CF card in place I get 3 error codes which I have attached as photos

  • The UK end have come up with a reply suggesting a hardware fault. Their email is copied below. Would you agree with the diagnosos?

    Thanks

    Martin

"Please accept our apologies for the delay in correspondence, the images you provided us with were passed to our engineers for their advice based on the fault you're experiencing.

With regards to your previous message, it would appear that the cause of the fault is hardware related. As this is the case, your unit would need to be repaired however we currently do not have all the parts you may require available. Unfortunately this would leave you in a situation where your unit may not be able to be repaired due to the availability of the parts.

I have however provided you with the information for an out of warranty repair as this may interest you. If this is something you would like to carry out, please give us a call and we can get your unit booked in.

If the unit has developed a fault and is out of warranty, it would have to be sent into us for an out of warranty repair. The way it works is:

    1. You send the unit into us via post/courier

    2. One of our engineers has a look at the unit and asseses the fault. He will then draw out an estimate of how much it would cost to repair it including any necessary parts and labour.

    3. Once the estimate has been written, we would then contact you for approval.

    4. At this stage if you choose to approve the estimate (which would include any parts and labour charged at £15 for 30mins work plus £10 shipping back cost) we would go ahead and carry out the work and then send the unit back to you. The labour to fault find and draw out the estimate will not be charged if you choose to go ahead with the repair.

    5. If you choose to reject the repair, we will have to take payment from you for the engineer labour for drawing out the estimate (£15) plus shipping and handling costs (£10). Once the payment is complete, we will ship the unit back to you.

It is hard to say how much it would cost to repair your unit without one of our engineers having a look at it first. The minimum it would cost if you choose to go ahead with the repair would be £25 if no parts are needed (min £15 labour and £10 shipping).

(Please bear in mind that all costs above do NOT include VAT).

You can book your unit in for repair with us by calling a member of our support team on 01252 896 040"
