Hi, I am interested in Forge kit. Can I replace Ride cymbal pad to dual or triple zone pad and assign bow/cup or edge/bow/cup sound?

User guide shows there are MIDI notes assignments, but I would like to ensure it is actually capable since the pad comes with the kit is single zone.

    Hi Ponta,

    Thanks for posting!

The Forge module will only accept a single-zone ride cymbal, but you can assign this to a bow or edge sound if you'd like by using the Voice option in the Kit menu. You may want to assign your own sounds from a USB flash drive.

The table in the user guide is there to explain the MIDI output of the module and provide some general MIDI note assignments that may help you more easily connect to samples in your software or other device. For example, you could assign the Ride trigger to MIDI note 59 to trigger the ride edge in a software instrument.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions!
