I have an Alesis multimix 8 usb fx and cubase software, BUT I can't seem to get the software to recognize the mixer. I also have Adobe Audition and it also won't recognize the mixer. Can someone PLEASE help with this?
Thanks so much! :)

What operating system are you using? This is the one you have correct?

Does the computer see the mixer through the control panel > device manager when the usb is plugged in? What other usb devices are connected/installed? Do you have a webcam? -

Thanks for your help...to answer your questions...
-My OS is Vista 32 bit
-Yes, that's the correct mixer
-It shows up as a USB Audio CODEC
-I also have my mouse plugged in.
-My webcam is integrated.
-It seems to record from the integrated mic, but not the mic connected to the mixer... -

Did you see the cubase setup guide we have?:

Sounds like the device is not selected so that cubase knows you want to use it.
Let me know if have questions after looking at the cubase guide. -

You bet. The only Digital Audio Workstations, aka recording softwares (DAW's), that will not be able to use it is as a sound card/input device are program like Pro Tools which most versions will require their hardware to use their software. Most software companies will not care what interface you use with it. Just make sure to see the preferences inside the software for audio routing configuration.
