I’m frustrated

Important Feature Request

Hey :)
I was waiting for a long time for the multipad to be released i europe. Now that i have it I'm a little bit frustrated. I hoped that Alesis would kick the SPD-SX from the throne. But there are a lot of key-things missing or not working correctly. Could you please tell me if the functions exists and I just didnt find them, or if and especially when they will be released with future updates?

- the metronom doenst always starts new at 1 when I hit the click button. Thats horrible when you are in a live situation and you need to readjust the click.
- the maximum volume of the metronom is way to low compared to the samples.
- There is now way to import your samples via the PC
- Set-Lists are missing completly. Every Live-Drummer needs them.
- Quantize Loops

If they will not be available in the near future, i feel i must return it. These are key features IMO, and as much as i love the lights and the LED Screen, without these features i must go back to my SPD-SX

Greetings David

  • Yes it was relesed without tools to create the workflow we need.

They should have released at a minimum an editor and a browser based interface tool but lacking that at least a sdk so that someone else could develop it

I think they focused so much on making it rugged they ignored funtionality. if it could be driven from an ipad or a mac book who needs the tiny screen no matter how big they make it and who needs to scroll thru menus when it could all be an app. this product would have been great in 2005.

Mine went back. half assed attempt that wasnt worth the wait.

  • Hello, Everyone

    Thanks for posting!

In regards to the metronome, our other customers have no issue with the volume. I would recommend using the "Stick1" as the metronome sample, this one seems to cut through the mix the most :) You can also lower the volume on your pads to mix the metronome to your preference. When you say the Metronome does not come in on the 1, are you using external or its internal clock? Can you recreate this easily? This is not something that has been raised to us before and I was not able to recreate this.

One of the objectives behind the Strike Multipad it to completely avoid using extra gear like an Ipad or Computer. You can import your own samples via USB and the screen is bigger than most if not all Multipad's on the market today. There is no need to bring additional gear with you anymore.

A setlist view, quantizing options for the looper, and Strike Multipad editor requests have already been submitted to our team. Be sure to follow us on all of our social media pages for announcements on future updates!

    Thank you for your feedback!
