Change in reply by Bill R. to Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for posting. Yes, you can use the VI61 to send program changes to your Access Virus. To do this:

Use a MIDI cable to connect your VI61 to your Access Virus's MIDI IN port.

Open the VI61 Editor, navigate to Options > Device Setup, and set the Input to and the Output to MIDIOUT2 (VI61).

Choose whether you want the program changes to be sent from your Drum Pads or Switches by choosing the appropriate option. Make sure MIDI to DIN is ON to enable data being send from the VI61s MIDI OUT port.

Change the MODE to Program Change. After making this change you can input the MIDI channel number that is received from your Access Virus and the Program number.

From here, you can also choose to send this preset to your hardware for future use. To do this:

Click Send Preset to Hardware.

In the window that appears, click the Preset Slot drop-down menu to select the desired Preset number.

Click Send to confirm or Cancel to cancel the operation. Sending the Preset will overwrite that Preset number on your VI61.

Hope this helps!.
