Multi-channel recording software?

I'm looking for audio software that can record multiple channels. I have a MultiMix 8 USB (10 yrs old), will be recording and editing voices (not music), and am working in Windows 10. Any suggestions? Is there a list somewhere of multi-channel software that will work with that mixer?

  • Hi Stuart,

Thanks for posting. Your mixer should have come bundled with both Cubase LE, as well as Ableton Live Lite; both of which are multi-channel recording softwares. If you did not get these, please get in touch with your nearest Support Office by logging on to www.alesis.com/support. You can find their contact numbers on that page, or you may also get in touch with support by selecting Software Authorization Assistance from the drop-down menu.

If you do not wish to use either one of these software titles, you can use any other DAW. Some examples are Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Studio One, etc. The MultiMix 8 USB is a standard mixer and audio interface so it doesn't matter which you use.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Bill,

Thanks for the information. I'd forgotten about the CD that came with the mixer. Mine only has Cubase LE on it (it's 10 years old), but if that works, I'm good.

    Thanks again,

    -Stuart
