I’m frustrated

Noise and calibration fail

WHEN MY PERC2 TRIGGER INPUT HAS A CABLE PLUGGED INTO IT THERE IS A CONITNOUS SOUND OF A CYMBAL TRIGGERING. ALSO, GET A FAILED TO CALIBRATE MESSAGE WHEN UNIT STARTS UP EVEN WHEN TRIGGER CABLES ARE NOT PLUGGED INTO IT. WHAT IS WRONG? I have tried resetting unit to factory reset and updating unit. Still have problem.

    • No, mine does not look like that. Why would Alesis package the wrong power supply this Drum Module? It appears this is a common problem looking at other threads on other websites. How do I get the right one? I bought this from American Music Supply. I can send a picture of the one I got and I still have the original packaging. The packaging did not look like it had been opened. The whole Alesis dm10 studio drum kit was in original boxes from the factory. they did not appear tobe repackaged.

  • I am getting a "FAILED TO CALIBRATE MESSAGE TRY REBOOTING WITH
TRIGGERS UPLUGED FROM UNIT" message when I start up the unit. It also
does this when nothing but the power supply is plugged into the unit.
I also have a noise that sounds like a cymbal continuously triggering
when I plug in the cymbal 2 cable to the Perc2 input on the Alesis
Dm10 Drum Module. I also get noises of different instruments when I
raise the level on the mix. The sounds also fade in an out. I l have tried what you have instructed me
to do as well the things other techs have told me to do. I am getting
the same results. I have tried resetting my unit to factory settings.
Same results. I called tech support He told me to call the Tech department ( WAITING 35 MINUTES ON HOLD BEFORE TALKING TO A TECH) and I did so and was told that I needed a different power supply for
my unit and your company was out of them and they would put me on a
waiting list. I also can't find one to purchase. I am really
frustrated that I have purchased a unit that I can't even use. I called American Music supply and was told by the product specialist that this could be a faulty cymbal 9(PERC2 ) input or sensor on If I don't have a power supply problem, what else can it be? Could I have a defective unit?
    • Hello Erik,

To correctly determine what your issue, I would first try another supply. You obviously didn't have the correct power supply as I posted above so that may be your culprit. If you want, email me your contact info and I'll have a Alesis tech support agent reach out to you to do more troubleshooting.
