Photon x 25

Is my beloved Photon X 25 going to die? When used via USB connection with a DAW under Windows XP everything is operating like on day one. But when powered up via the power adaptor and midi sent via 5 pin DIN connection to a Win 10 DAW, the display flickers (quickl changes in brightness) and some or many or all of the endless rotary encoders send out random midi cc data without being touched. It’s really hard to tell wich ones are malfunctioning because it happens at such a fast rate that the display can’t keep up showing what’s going on. The keys and both pitch and mod wheels are functioning correctly though. With all other midi cc’s filtered out or ignored by the associated soft synths the Photon X 25 is still sort of playable.
So I‘m guessing something‘s wrong with the power cirquit inside the Photon, because I checked the power adaptor on different gear and it was working alright..
Is that a known issue and is there maybe a manageable way to fix it? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, Volker
