Pitch Bend Wheel Not Working (Alesis V161 MIDI Keyboard)

I have an Alesis V161 MIDI keyboard which is about 4 years old now (or there about)

Unfortunately the Pitch Bend Wheel has started changing value by itself. The rubber wheel doesn't seem to be moving, but whatever electronic equipment is below the rubber wheel seems to be broken. It's fluctuating by about 10-20 digits from the initial '64' setting. This is making it very hard to record or play anything, I sound out of tune.

Does anybody know how to disable the pitch bend wheel, or any other ways of fixing this?

  • Hi Matt,

Thanks for posting. Sorry you're having issues with your VI61.

It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

Make sure to reference or link this thread to help out the support team.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
