Problem with headphones audio

Hello I recently purchased a Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX and had some questions I could not find the answers too yet. Right now I have a Condenser microphone plugged into Mic 1 and have turned phantom power on. Now I also have headphones plugged into the 1/4 inch headphone jack through a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adapter. The only time I can hear audio is when I turn on "ext/usb to main". The problem is that the microphone picks up my voice along with my computers audio of anything that is currently playing on it (music, etc.). I am wondering how to fix that

  • Hi Jorge,

    Thanks for posting.

The only time I can hear audio is when I turn on "ext/usb to main".

´╗┐This symptom you're describing is normal. This switch will route the audio from the EXT In input and USB audio from the computer to the mixer's Main Outs and Phones Out. The other symptom you're experiencing is normal as well. The audio from your inputs will be sent to a single channel. However, the MultiMix USB 2.0 models will include channel separation.

    I hope this helps!
