  • Hi Shinadre,

Thanks for posting. If your controller isn't showing or grayed out in Audio MIDI Setup, try using another USB cable or USB port on your computer. Make sure you're connected directly to your computer's USB port and that you aren't going through a hub. Connect your QX61 to a port closest to your computer's power supply. If it's grayed out in Audio MIDI Setup, highlight the MIDI device and press delete or backspace on your keyboard to remove them from the list.  Reconnect it and look for it to appear in the window. If it appears, and is no longer greyed out, it should work properly.

Let me know how this goes.

  • Hi thanks for your tips. I just tried your instructions but it not even showing any signal at audio midi setup. Not even even appearing to say a midi is connected but if I put in others it shows automatically

  • Thanks for posting back. Sorry to hear you're still having issues. If the QX61 isn't showing in Audio MIDI Setup at all, this is likely a hardware-related issue, and your controller will probably require service. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page.  Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

I hope this helps!  Let me know if you have any additional questions.
