Replacement of plastic heads s to mesh heads in Dm10 studio kit

I purchased in ebay a mesh dm10 studio kit and they sent a Real head kit. I asked to send a set of mesh heads and they say it can't be done because the shell design is different. Is this true? What are my options? I understand the mesh heads can be purchased even from third party dealers and can be easily installed as I've seen in some YouTube videos. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Ulises,

There are commercial solutions and do-it-yourself options. I recommend that you join alesis drummer at http://www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php and start searching there. You'll find a lot of ideas.

With a bit of fear, I bought a set of mesh drum heads from 682 drums specific for the DM10 studio kit. ($125 dlls: five 8" and one 10" mesh heads). Installing them was a breeze. Just remove the old head, remove a foam ring, add a little sponge cone and place the new head in place. Voila! No soldering-desoldering; no electronic adjustements to any parameters...A straight-forward 5 minute job per drum. I can't be any happier now. The response (rebound), feeling and sound are awesome. Now my Alesis drum set is perfect!!! I love it!
    Best regards
