Samplepad 4 with Acoustic Trigger --> double triggers

Hey,

I'm using the Alesis Samplepad 4 to trigger my Kickdrum. I'm getting more and more double triggers, even with the lowest sensitivity. What can I do?

  • Hello Florian,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I can help! On any electronic percussion pad, all of the pads can hear the strikes made to all of the other pads. Because of this, playing harder than necessary will increase the likelihood of unintended pads triggering. As you get to know the Alesis SamplePad 4, you’ll get accustomed to how much force is appropriate when triggering sounds. The following guide covers some basic measures you can take to optimize crosstalk, sensitivity and triggering. Try it out and let me know how it goes!

  • I'm using an acoustic trigger for my kickdrum - it definitly isn't a problem of crosstalk, but about sensitivity of the trigger in combination with the pad! Since sensitivity is already on "1" and I'm still getting double triggers, what else can I do?
