How do you select the metronome tempo on the DM10?

I don't understand the process of changing the tempo of the metronome. From my perspective, I should be able to increase or decrease the tempo incrementally (60, 61, 62...). It seems completely random to me and I have yet to be able to successfully get a tempo of 100bpm. Any help is appreciated. (DM10 studio).

  • Hello Chris,

Thanks for the post. I'd like to help! Have you adjusted the Tap Tempo under the Utility Menu? The DM10's Utility Menu contains several pages of parameters that affect the module's overall operation as well as system-related information and functions. Pressing MTRO (F1) from the main Utility Menu lets you access pages that contains the settings for the module's metronome. Try adjusting your Tap Tempo from the instructions below. Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the answer that I was looking for was found on an 'unofficial' Alesis forum. By holding down the Tap Tempo button and then using the Value/Tempo dial, I am able to increment the tempo up or down slowly or quicky in increments of one. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again for your efforts.
