Settings for dm10 Studio kit Ride Cymbal

I have had my Dm10 Studio Kit for about a week now. I have tuned everything well, however the ride cymbal with the bell is giving me problems. I hit the bell and the ride sounds, I have tried several setting but not acting as it should. Can anyone share there setting for the ride cymbal? Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

I would like to help. The Ride Bell's Input Type needs to be set to Piezo. Given: other adjustments need to be made in order to customize the function of the "edge crash" to the drummer's style of playing.

  • Yes, could someone expound on this.. I'm having the same issues.. When set to Piezo, the bell is not as sensitive as it is when Switch is chosen.. but I still cant get the bell trigger to activate after every hit, If I hit is 3 times in the same spot, it might sound on 2 hits and the bow sound will be the third hit.. this is getting to be maddening and is killing my good vibe buzz for this kit .. Ive tried every kind of combo between Instrument settings and Ext Trig settings.. please save my frustrated mind.. thanks .. Also, the Edge does not really trigger.. Is it set under Perc 1 settings?

    • Also, if I hit the bell in the same spot (tap tap) the first hit sounds good, it resonates, the second hit is stocatto and has no resonation, as if the sound implodes on itself.. is there an adjustment for this?
