Strike Pro sensitivity knob questions

Is there any documentation regarding the sensitivity knobs on the new strike pro drum pads? I have a few questions regarding their use. (1) is there a recommended setting? (2) which sensors does turning the knob fully clockwise effect, is counterclockwise the opposite? (3) are all of the pads wired the same? (4) what is the purpose of the knob on the kick pad? Any help would be appreciated as it will take a lot of guess work out of fine tuning the kit to my liking.

  • Hi Donald,

    Thanks for posting.

To answer your questions in the order in which they were asked:

    1) There
is no recommended settings for the knobs. The knobs are centered out of the box, which is about where most drummers will find them most comfortable.

    2) If you're looking straight on at the knob, moving it counter-clockwise will spread out the hitting area more, and clockwise will focuses on the center; thus making it more sensitive.

3/4) The snare and tom pads will work in the same way. The kick pad doesn't because the kick pedal doesn't move around the pad. it's designed to pick up most dynamically where the beaters hit.

    I hope this helps!
