Surge Mesh Kit - no sound out of headphones

I purchased a Surge kit in March. There is no sound out of the Headphones. I have to run the outputs into an amp and turn the module all the way up to get enough sound to hear over the sound of the pads. It is absolutely terrible. I have dealt with this for a month trying to get Alesis to respond to my support tickets and I've never heard back from anyone. Worst service and worst purchase of my life so far. I have purchased $80 headphones thinking that was the issue. I tried what others on these boards have recommended (using non-mic headphones, see above with the $80 headphones and I've tried turning the volume up in the various preset kit settings). Nothing has improved the situation to a reasonable or acceptable level. When it is loud enough to hear, it's distorted and sounds like crap. I'd love for someone from Alesis to step up and actually DO SOMETHING TO SUPPORT THE $500+ DRUMSET I PURCHASED. Retailer said it's on Alesis to remedy. Alesis hasn't responded. I'm really starting to wish I'd bought a Roland....

  • Hi Ryan,

Sorry you're having issues with your kit.

It sounds like your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Alesis Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

Make sure to reference or link this thread to help out the support team.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
