V49 drumpads are acting as the same note

I have a V49. When I map the notes in Fl studio the top 4 drumpads are seen as the same note. So if i hit either one of them it think I am playing all four of them at the same time. Not sure how to test if it is and FL studio thing or the drum pads themselves. Maybe a setting?

  • Hello, Andrew Crespo-Roman

    Thanks for posting!

You may want to test the pads with MIDI-OX.

We can verify whether your V49 is sending MIDI data to your computer with MIDI monitoring software. A MIDI monitor will show you all the incoming data from any MIDI controllers or MIDI interfaces that you have connected to your computer.

For testing MIDI devices on PC:

    Download MIDI-OX

This video will get you set up quickly for MIDI input monitoring in MIDI-OX:
    Monitoring MIDI Input with MIDI-OX

For testing MIDI devices on Mac:
    Download snoize: MIDI Monitor

Select the V49 as a MIDI input source in the monitor and send some data with its keys and controllers. If all of the pads are sending the same signal, open the editor and make sure they are changed to different CC notes and send the preset to the keyboard.

Let me know what your results are!
