Vortex Wireless 2: serious USB Wireless Receiver issue! Firmware update doesn't apply to USB receiver causing unstable MIDI performance

Note: This might be the reason why many ppl still have hanging notes!

In my work as a professional keyboardist (based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada) I've chosen to use the Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 as my 2nd controller. The key action is way better than the old Vortex and I've had some "lucky" nights that have made me feel comfortable in both the wired (fully reliable with firmware update 1.1.5 and wireless operation (not reliable yet). I have a Nord Stage 2 as my main keyboard, but using the Wireless 2 as a portable controller is a great option that allows me to move around on stage. Something I've grown to become addicted to as a keyboardist / stage performer.

The most recent firmware upgrade 1.1.5 has addressed ALL my hanging note issues in wired operation mode using the USB Cable (w/ferrite choke) included with the Vortex Wireless 2. Tested this on MacOS 10.8.5, 10.11 and 10.14 (Mojave) using different Mac computers, and music systems/DAWs.

Unfortunately, the wireless mode, using the USB Wireless Receiver, is still causing me to experience many MIDI hanging notes. Assigning a MIDI Panic button to a pad is a decent escape, but not good enough for a professional live scenario. So I have noticed that my Vortex 2 reverts back to using firmware 1.0.1 when the Wireless Receiver is connected, even though the Vortex's firmware is already at 1.1.5.

As soon as the Wireless Receiver is connected, while having a USB cable connected (which is required to do the firmware update), the firmware update program displays an error message, and Alesis don't mention this issue anywhere.

All in all, this means that Wireless operation of the Alesis Vortex 2 is completely unstable and unreliable until Alesis addresses the firmware update issue in relation to the Wireless USB Receiver.

Any chance Alesis could start working on resolving this issue? It'd be greatly appreciated. Meanwhile, I'm going to use another piece of wireless MIDI technology that I've bought recently, and retire the Wireless Receiver until this issue has been solved.
