"Hide shows I'm up to date on" should include shows that were up to date but are no longer

When I untick the "Watched"-checkbox for an episode or season, it doesn't reset this filter somehow.

On my dashboard (sidereel.com/users) I have "Hide shows I'm up to date on" enabled. There is a TV Show that I have watched in the past and no longer has new episodes. But I want to watch it again from the start (it's been almost 10 years since I watched it, when I joined SideReel I just ticked all the seasons at once because I'd already seen it but now I want to watch it again one by one). However no matter what I do, it won't show up on my dashboard anymore as long as "Hide shows I'm up to date on" is enabled.

When I disable that filter it does appear, but only as "You are up to date!" (incorrect). When I switch it's mode from "Next episode" to "Unwatched" then, and only then, does it show the correct progress (Season 1 watched (hidden), Season 2 in-progress, Season 3 unwatched).

Would be nice if a user unticks the "Watched"-checkbox that other states that influence the view are updated as well, right now it looks broken. Aside from the user case of re-watching a show, there is also a use case for users that accidentally checked such checkbox, there needs to be a way to undo it entirely.

Hi there,
I just checked the issue you're describing with my own tracker. Make sure you're refreshing the page after unchecking episodes on a show you were previously 'up to date' on. If you're up to date on a show, then uncheck all of its episodes, you'll likely have to refresh the page before it registers that it should be 'unhidden' from your list of in-progress shows. After you do this, do you still find that your show is hidden as 'up to date' even though you've unchecked the episodes and refreshed your tracker page?

By the way, I agree that the fact that you need to refresh the page before the tracker reflects your changes is NOT ideal, so I'll definitely bring this up to our tech team, but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't an additional bug that you're spotting beyond this annoying extra step!

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your message.
I have confirmed that this issue is persistent even after refreshing. Also after logging out and back in.

In case you or the tech team can look into my account, here's a few details I'm fine with sharing. My username is MailTeMc and the show in question is "Knight Rider" (1982). Up until a few days ago I had marked all 4 seasons as watched. Last week I unticked all checkboxes so that everything is blank again (the useful "season" checkboxes make this an easy thing to do :), thanks for that).

When going to the standalone page at sidereel.com/Knight_Rider_(1982) , everything is correct. It shows that season 1 is watched, season 2 has some checked, and season 3+4 unwatched.

But on the sidereel.com/users dashboard it keeps showing this show as if I have watched all 4 seasons. When I use the "Hide shows I'm up to date on" mode it is hidden. And when I don't use that mode it is shown as "You are up to date!". Both are incorrect. What it should show is the next oldest unwatched episode. But instead I need to click 'Unwatched' and manually expand each section to find it.

Thanks for the added details - this helps a lot!
Just to clarify, what happens when you choose to NOT hide shows you're up to date on (so that the show is visible), then uncheck all the episodes (so you haven't 'watched' any), then refresh? Does it automatically check all the boxes all over again, even though you just unchecked them before refreshing?
