Congratulations to David Jeffries for fusing the audacious "Yeezus" with an equally audacious critique. Jeffries was able to capture the album's mood and theme through words--resulting in an excellent compliment to Kanye's latest work.

Unlike other critics, this staff took a patient, 3-4 day approach in crafting a review of this intensely complicated album. I hoped that like me, your team of writers couldn't formulate whether "Yeezus" was complete shit or game-changing innovation after the first listen.

It's this sort of patience--the careful consideration of an artist's motivation and the analysis of each beat, sample, or lyric--that makes AMG quality music journalism. It also helps when you have a writer like Jeffries who has the ability to craft the imaginatively descriptive line "complaining about Yeezus being unrelatable is like complaining the sky is untouchable."

This polished, well-written article remains undisturbed despite growing out of a field of rushed journalism. As a writing enthusiast, I'm thankful for that.
