Adblocker Whitelisting

I just experienced your pop-up asking me not to use adblock. I understand where you're coming from, and I am interested in allowing sites to display ads in some cases.

I am willing to whitelist this site (and any site) as long as you can guarantee some certain things.
1. No auto-play video or audio ads, INCLUDING your awful Celebified videos.
2. Every ad is INDIVIDUALLY screened for inappropriate visual content.
3. Ads follow protocol to ensure they do not contain any viruses, malware, PUP, etc.
4. No pop up ads of any kind, ever.

Any website that does these things (static, reasonably placed ads of non-objectionable content) I'm happy to whitelist.

Hi Joe,

First of all, thank you for your post and for your understanding.

Registered users can edit their preferences to turn off autoplay videos. Registering for an account on SideReel is also an alternative to turning off your ad-blocker.

As far as display ads are concerned, those are completely reasonable requests; however, unfortunately, we simply don't have the ability to pre-screen ads — it's just not the nature of the business. That said, we do not support objectionable visual content on our site, but if an inappropriate ad seems to have slipped through the cracks, we encourage SideReelers to report it.

We totally understand that ads can be annoying, but they are the only way we keep SideReel in business, so we're working hard to find a happy medium. We really appreciate your support and your feedback.
