AllMusic site infected?

Looks like your website has a virus. When I first clicked on AllMusic, I was redirected to a phishing site that claimed that my firewall had blocked an attempt to steal my personal data, and that directed me to call a non-800 number. I had to use Task Manager to shut the browser down.

Thanks for the update Brion.

This bit of scareware has been driving us crazy. It does not seem to be actually infecting anything, but rather a phishing attempt to get you to call and give them your information.

It is coming in via one of our third-party ad networks and we have been trying to determine the source for weeks now.

Thanks for your patience as we try to track this down.

A very similar redirect is happening today on the AllMusic site, where just loading the home page causes a redirection to a website that pretends to be an Adobe Flash updater. The URL I get redirected to this URL, where I have replaced the dots with the word [dot] to avoid accidental clicks: http://jctie[dot]irismilan[dot]pw/hyllkjit/031724ca/?n=2043424578

Ug. Thanks for the heads-up. We'll see if we can isolate this ad server and remove them.
