Annoying Ads on Report Link feature

When reporting a link, the report screen now opens up with ads that expand if you scroll over them. That in itself is a frustration because they open up without scrolling over sometimes. One ad in particular is the AT&T one. Despite hitting the little "x" in the corner, it continually opened up. I had to try three times to get my to the reporting screen. And when I finally got it to close, it covered up the area I need to submit information. I couldn't move the bloody box out of my way without it opening up again. Seriously, they gotta go. How advertisers think they don't create an adverse reaction is beyond comprehension.

Hi Gail, I haven't seen this problem on Firefox either, and I tested it a bit just now and found that even when there are rollover ads next to the link results, when I click the 'report link' button, the form pops up properly and even when I scroll over ads behind it, those ads won't open.

If you think particular ads like the AT&T one you mention are causing problems as opposed to there being an issue with the report form for you, please give us the following info next time you encounter the ad(s):

  • The exact SideReel URL where you came across the ad

  • A screenshot of the ad

  • The source of the ad

  • The browser you're using
