Bio and Discography: side by side, each at the top of their own column?

If the bio and discography are the most important parts for an artist, then why not put them side-by-side in a 2-column layout on the main tab. All the other data stuff in the left hand column (genres, styles, formed, etc) could go below the bio. Just a thought.

(I just think if the discography is going to be on the main page it needs to be at the top where you can't miss it. Otherwise, I'd put it in its own tab.)

Hi Paul,
Based on your feedback, we've added a "Jump Link" to allow users to get to the discography directly on the Artist page.

See this post for more info: https://getsatisfaction.com/allmusic/...

At the top of each artist page (under the artist name) you should see red text that says "JUMP TO DISCOGRAPHY" which will take you directly to the Discography section. This functions in the same way that a tab would: Taking you right to the discography information and being accessible from any tab on the artist's page.

Our hope is that this can give the "thanks for the overview!!" folks the ability to scroll down and see the album list below the bio, and also give the "discography tab forever!!" users the ability to accomplish the same thing that a tab would.

Thumbs-up to this new implementation. I was never a fan of having to do an extra click on the Discography tab (since I go there frequently), but I think two columns side by side would be a bit constraining.

The new implementation is solid, methinks -- the Jump To Discography tab works well, although I like the fact that the "collapsed" Bio allows the top of the Discography to be seen at the bottom of the screen, requiring very little scrolling to get to it (and no extra clicks).

Furthermore, seeing the whole bio no longer induces a full page refresh -- clicking the "Read More" instantly exposes the whole biography without any interruption.

I hope this current implementation makes it to the final release.
