This has been going on for weeks now. Restarting browser or system does not help. I can add to list or write a review, but I cant track or untrack a show. I have firefox, windows xp. Here is a list of some of the shows I have tried: olympus (syfy), black mirror, how to train your dragon 1 & 2, dragons: race to the edge , 8 minutes, your family or mine, thunderbirds are go, lizzie borden chronicles, meet the smiths, if loving you is wrong, ordinary lies, freaks and geeks. There use to be 3 buttons: track this, add to list, write a review. Then about 5 month ago, the last 2 would show, then a flash, then all 3. Several weeks ago- no flash and only 2 buttons display. I kept thinking you would fix, but this is getting ridiculous.
This week a related problem started- on episode list the episodes that I watched are not displaying. It says I have watched none of them, even if I update them and refresh the page.

Hi Judy,

The  missing track button is a problem that seems to a JavaScript issue that is happening to a very small number of users that we can't replicate in-house. If we could get your help to try to resolve it, we may be able to make some progress on fixing it.

Have you tried using a different browser? This could help us diagnose the problem.

on any shows episode list, the episodes that I watched are not displaying. It says I have watched none of them, even if I update them and refresh the page. I have firefox, windows. I have been watching a season of Doctor Who each weekend. 3 weeks ago-season 6-updated as watched. 2 weeks ago-season 1 with 2 exceptions- updated as watched and checked other seasons- had to remark season 6 as watched entire season, but did not go back and check if individual episodes had the watched box checked. Last week-season 2- updated repeatedly, including season 6 and 1. The boxes wont stay marked as watched. So I checked other shows, same problem. I am watching about 70 current shows/week and mark them as watched thru my tracker. I checked many shows and find the same problem. There are many shows that I have missed one episode out of a season and would like to see that info. This is just one of many problems.

Hi Judy,

Have you tried a different browser? Or updating Firefox?  Windows XP is a pretty old operating system at this point -- in fact, Microsoft no longer supports it. If you're using software that is more than a few years old, you'll likely encounter problems we have no way of fixing.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Watch button is missing on show page, latest episode box.

here is an example. go to http://www.sidereel.com/Bones and latest show is displayed, but no watch button here either. The watch button is missing or not being updated on show page, episode page, episode list page. I have previously reported episode page and episode list page as separate problems. The show page is a new one. The problems just keeps getting worse and spreading to other pages. Cant add shows to tracker, cant track current or old shows, and cant see history of what I tracked. If this keeps up, your site will become useless. I cant add a different browser but know it does not work for firefox. windows xp should default to work same as windows8. I dont care if xp not supported, I still have it on one of my laptaps and windows 8 on the other. both have same problems. Stop making it worse - get better support for programmers!! Over 5 months ago, the small flash problem was reported to you,

you are not the only person this is happening to. I wait until I am frustrated and angry to finally post a problem, hoping they will fix it when someone else reports. Long ago, there use to be a factoid for marketing and quality control, for every 1 written complaint there are 10,000 customers complaining quietly that you will potentially lose. So take each one very seriously. For months, I have seen a short reply to several complaints, but never a solution. I am sure you are losing customers by such a lazy way to respond to problems. Do Better. I have enjoyed using your product and want to continue for years to come.

Hi Judy,

Our IT department is trying to work with you to troubleshoot the problem, but making multiple topics is going to delay the process. Please try to keep replies to this topic so Zaz will see them.

I'm running Windows 8.1 and with the most current version of Firefox, everything looks right and is working correctly.  The most current version of Firefox at this point is 37.0.1. You can check your Firefox version by following the directions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/find-what-version-firefox-you-are-using

Another thought is that you might try running SideReel in a private window to see if there is an add-on that is interfering with your viewing the pages correctly.

Hi again Judy,

We take all complaints seriously!  And we actually prefer it when more people post about problems sooner, because it gives us the best sense of which problems are affecting who and how serious they are.

It is clear the browser you are using or the data in your account is having problems running the code for our interactive features. If we were seeing the same problems, we would have fixed them immediately. The reason we are asking about your system is that it could be part of the reason this is happening for you. Only about 0.5% of sessions are users on Windows XP/Firefox, and due the small size of our team, we don't have the resources to test configurations used by so few of our users.

That said, we are concerned about the Track button problem; but again, we need help to resolve it by hearing details from users it affects, since we aren't seeing these problems on our systems.

So, it would help if you could start by telling us:
* Do you have the same issue in other browsers? For example, in Chrome or Internet Explorer?
* What version of Firefox are you using?
* What is your username or profile URL? It's possible your data is causing a problem; we could check it out if we know which account is yours

We understand you are frustrated -- it is our mission to do our best to help all our users have a good experience with the site.
