Getting tracker emails for the wrongs days if I even get an email at all

Any particular reason that I've received 2 emails today & neither of them are for today's shows? I got one for Thursday's shows at 10:30am +10GMT & another one for Wednesday's shows at 3:20pm +10GMT. Not to mention the fact that my last notification before today was for Tuesday despite despite the fact that I have shows on every day of the week. What's going on?

Hello SideReel, need some help. I was receiving my daily e-mails until 9/23/13. I did not receive another e-mail until Saturday (9/28) for Friday's (9/27) calendar. The next calendar I received was at 1:44PM today (Monday 30th) for Thursday (9/26). Used tracker daily. Thanks for you assistance in advance.

We understand how frustrating the email transition has been, we count on those emails for our own alerts too!

This issue is tracked continuously and has been a significant part of my daily focus since October.

I'm not ready to make any promises yet, however after some testing, today we released a dramatic overhaul in how we deliver email.

Of course, with such a large change, we may need to fine tune things over the next few weeks (especially for yahoo.com), however we expect a significant improvement starting with tomorrow's (Friday) daily calendar.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I wish Sidereel was just as meticulous in solving email issues as they are in merging Sidereel topics.There would be less merging if the original problems were fixed.Just saying.
BTW Still not daily tracker.

Hi Joseph,
I merge topics in order to keep all of our reported issues organized so that the SideReel team can more effectively keep track of what's happening in our community and update users more efficiently on our progress. Creating multiple topics for the same issue requires us to respond to each topic separately, which isn't nearly as productive. I assure you that my meticulous management of the community is not in any way hindering our engineering team's progress in getting to the bottom of issues with email.
As I've advised previously, I highly recommend changing the email associated with your account (at least temporarily) in order to see if your emails resume. Unfortunately we cannot directly prevent your existing email provider from bouncing or blocking our incoming emails, though we are doing our best to improve deliverability across the board.

I haven't received a "calendar" email for over a week.  I used to receive them religiously (except for a couple of minor hiccups over the last year).  I haven't changed email server and I have no other email problems.

I'm no IT expert but how come I have no problem getting these Sidereel topic update notifications but I'm still not getting the daily tracker? Don't both emails use the same server?Just asking.

Nope! Our support site is powered by GetSatisfaction, which is a completely different site from SideReel.

I have a really radical suggestion.Instead of asking me to change my email address or check my spam filter,why not use the same settings you use for GetSatisfaction and use them for Sidereel?Whatever the way it's set up for me too get emails from GetSatisfaction apply it to Sidereel.If GetSatisfaction can do it so can Sidereel.It would be mutually beneficial and practical that I spend less time on your feedback site and more time on Sidereel.Just asking.

Hi Joseph,

Unfortunately, sending and delivering email, especially at high volume, is far more complicated than it may seem. If there were an easy solution, it would already be in place.  In the meantime, we will continue to work on the issue with your specific provider or, as Alex suggested, you can use an alternate email address.

Thanks for you patience.  Believe me, these problems are also quite frustrating for us.

GetSatisfaction is the company who powers our support forum and controls the emails you receive about notifications on this forum thread — they can't help you with our Daily Calendar notifications. :)
Daily Calendar Emails come from us at SideReel.com. I replied to you asking you for your email a couple days ago so I could look into it for you but didn't get a response.

Which return email? If you simply respond to the Get Satisfaction notification emails, you'll be emailing the team who powers the support forum itself, and not the team at SideReel.
If you prefer to send it over email instead of posting it here, you can email us at info@sidereel.com.

why am I not getting my daily email tracker.


For over a month now I have not getting my daily email tracking my shows. This is very bothersome and now I am missing new episodes. This has been a problem with sidereel off and on for a while now. They clear it up for a few days or weeks then it goes back to no emails. I have checked daily and they are not going into my spam. I am just not getting any. What is up with this?

Looks like your email provider is rejecting our Daily Calendar Emails. I tried doing what I can on our end; let me know if you still don't start receiving them in the next day or two.

I haven't received a Sidereel Calendar email in 6 days. For the couple of weeks before they completely stopped coming, they came in intermittently. Problem?

Ok So I received only one daily tracker for Thursday 2/13/14,but then it stopped. I checked my spam folder and it was empty. Am I going to need to change my email address or what? I really don't want to do that. Please help me. Thanks.

I got the daily tracker for two consecutive days until it stopped. Now I'm not going to change my email address since it's been demonstrated that my current email can receive your daily tracker. Now all you have to do is make sure it works everyday and it will be all peaches and cream. (Do I get points for posting this under the right thread? :-) )

Yes, points for you! :) Of course your current email is technically <i>capable</i> of receiving emails from SideReel, as you've used the same email in the past... but its reliability is clearly questionable. The issue is that every time we manually reset your email bounces (so that you can successfully receive your emails for a day or two), your provider starts bouncing them again. Since we don't have the bandwidth to manually reset your bounce status every two days, we're working on alternative ways to improve our email deliverability across the board.
If you want to reliably receive without interruption in the meantime while we work on a more permanent solution, we recommend you switch to a different email provider for your SideReel account.

Still not receiving my daily e-mails after I have added the sidereel.info to my e-mail account. I have read all the comments that all e-mails have gone out and yahoo and Hotmail are the only ones having issues. I have Comcast and I haven't received an e-mail since Feb. 7. I would certainly appreciate an actual comment from someone instead of being lumped into a 100 other e-mails that haven't addressed me. Thanks

Hi Catherine! We haven't stopped them, but it's possible that your email provider has started rejecting/bouncing them from your inbox. If you have a different email address (with a different provider) that you can use for your SideReel account temporarily, that can serve as a quick fix until we sort out these deliverability issues.

Hi Janet! There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your email address... Are you sure they're not being filtered to your spam folder or trash?
