not liking the new layout at all thus far....can't listen to tracks directly from your site. Now I'll have to just go to iTunes....also how does the filtering work? when I click on "compilations", what do I do next to reset? I hit "enter" and nothing happens. I don't see a "go" button to hit next. thanks

I did everything suggested above and get the site to work properly. Is it supposed to work with IE 8? Because it works like it's supposed to on a computer with IE 9.

Hi Fritz,
In testing I've found that if I manually change the settings to use the "IE8 Standards" document mode sorting the discography fails for me as well.

But I don't think that should be the default for IE8 users of AllMusic.

Do you also see album images just fine? Or do those seem to be missing?

Everything seems to be working from what I see.

Album images do NOT appear on the artist's "home" page, nor next to the album in the Discography listing. The only time it does appear is when I click on a specific album, and it appears on that page.

So when is filtering going to be fixed? This is frustrating. After years and years of using this site everyday...

Hi Alex,
Please note we are working on this but this has proven to be a tricky bug.

It only seems to be occurring in the outdated IE 8 (and not in every version of IE 8...just some versions).

Last week we rolled out a patch that allows users to click on the text at the top (not the button) that should allow you to see the other album types:

Would you mind doing us a favor and seeing if that changes the views in IE 8?

Thanks for your patience.

I think we've been able to solve this IE 8 issue of the discography views not being available (although you may need to clear your browser cache for it to be visible).

Steps to clear browser cache: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Bro...

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

Hallelujah! It looks like everything's working properly now, including the Search feature and song sampling, along with above.

Thanks!

Free QA.

Here is another bug:
1. On Discography/Albums page select "Compilations" radio button.
2. On "Compilations" page click browser "Back" button
Result: Albums page opens with "Compilations" radio button selected. User cannot navigate to "Compilations" page any more.
Used FF 23.1

I mentioned this before on the Advanced Search thread, but you have the same problem with radio buttons there.

I often have that page open and come back to a blank page because of something I've done in another tab for a different site. The default is All Recording Types and I usually have Main Albums selected.

As I refresh the criteria, the radio button for album types is sticky. I've previously selected Main Albums, and the filter header at the top of the page confirms that setting, but I get all recordings instead. I often have to bounce back and forth between buttons twice to get things right.
