Help! I'm Locked out of my SideReel Account!

I've reset my password, and i still can't log in (username or email). I've cleared all my cookies and restarted my browser and it's still not working.

I don't want to start a new account because i have all my shows tracked and "watched".

I got a message saying that I had to confirm my e-mail, which is fine except that it says my e-mail does not exist. I've typed it in multiple times and I know it is correct. I can't even reset my password. It was working fine one second and now all of a sudden I'm having this problem. I don't want to start a new profile and I am getting extremely frustrated. I have never had this problem with my e-mail "not existing" before. What am I supposed to do?

It does exist on the site though. It's the one I signed up with. And I tried confirming it but it won't let me. Just keeps sending me to the login page

You can't reset your password because the issue has nothing to do with your password - you need to confirm the email associated with your account in order to regain access to your account.

Recently, every time I try to login, I keep getting a message saying that I need to confirm my email address. I was able to receive the email and confirm the account, but now it says that i have already confirmed the account and there is a problem with my username or password. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Absolutely! It's likely that you're confirming the wrong email. What's the username of the account you're attempting to confirm?

when i open up the page nothing is loaded such as top shows, shows i would like and what not, also when i go to a shows page the links and past episodes for that show do not load. i am using google chrome. Also i was asked to reconfirm my email and when clicking on the link sent to my email and typing my username and password in i received a oops message and it will not allow me to log in.

First thing's first - let's regain access to your account. If the login screen tells you that you need to confirm your email, you must input the email that you signed up with. If you don't remember what email that is, you can tell me your SideReel username and I can look it up for you.

I am having issues with login too. Tells me that I have to get a confirmation email and when I do that it never comes to my email. I have tried it a number of times.

Hi Kiki, it's possible that your email server is rejecting incoming mail from us. Email me at info@sidereel.com with your username and a possible alternate email if you have one, and we can see if you have better luck receiving it somewhere else!

I have a Username and Password. I've been a member of Sidereel for well over a year. My email address is lln6@hotmail.com. I received a confirmation email, and clicked on the link. The Sidereel webpage does not recognize my email address!?!! But how do I get a confirmation email if there is no record of my email address through Sidereel? Very frustrating! Username= ladychristianity.

Hi parrotrainer,
It actually looks like you may have made a typo when initially inputting your email - according to our system, your username is associated with 'lln6@hotmail.co' (missing an m!) I've updated your email to the proper address.
You received the confirmation email even though your email wasn't recognized because you manually had an email sent there by inputting it into the field - though, as you experienced, it won't succeed in confirming an account if that email isn't associated with an account on the site. Now that your email has been corrected in the system, it should work!

im havin the same issue tried using the 2 emails (llsimpson17@gmail.com or llsimpson17@yahoo.com) potentially associated and i keep getting an error message that this may already be confirmed. i follow the link from the email and then get the response that the email hasnt been confirmed

Hi there! The point is confirming your email is so that you can verify that the email you provided is actually yours. Therefore, you need to confirm the email that's associated with your account, which is 'chrisyconlin@rogers.com' - do you no longer have access to that email account?

Wow Alex I'm not sure why you keep removing comments about this problem. AGAIN I was sent the confirmation email, followed the instructions and STILL can not get into my account. Would you consider assisting me rather than deleting and ignoring my posts. The email response from you offered NO solution. All you did was tell me everything is working fine with total disregard for the fact that *I* am experiencing a problem. I still can not get into username checkinitout. Why is that????????

I have been trying to get into my sidereel account and i havent been able to get in, because i need to confirm my account. When i send the confirmation email, it says i have an invalid email. When I tried logging to my account, it said I needed to confirm my account, but I've had this account for quite a while, and was able to use it and I know I had already confirmed it. I decided to re-confirm it, I got the e-mail but after I did it said my account has already been confirmed, but I'm still not allowed into my account- if that makes sense. My username is ringettestar12 and I'm pretty sure the email registered to that is ringettestar12@gmail.com. What do I do to fix this??

Hi Jordan, as described above, you're locked out because you didn't confirm your email within a year of having your account. The email associated with that username is 'ringetttestar12@gmail.com' (3 t's).

I have an account under the username Harvey143 and email address Harvey_143@hotmail.com however for whatever reason I cannot log in and the website says it can't re-send a password as there is no email address on your database.

While I'm sorry for your frustration, unfortunately this isn't the case. You need to confirm the email you signed up with. If you inputted a fake email, an email you no longer have access to, or simply forgot which email you signed up with (which is often the case for the users who found themselves locked out after a year), I'll be happy to look into that for you.

Well Hello there! Now for some increasingly strange and incredibly creepy reason, my sidereel account, of which I've had for longer than a year now, is completely and absolutely acting craz, and for no reason! I do not want to risk losing all of the watched episodes logs, as well as the dictionary of shows that I am tracking , so please Please help me in any way that you kind, and I kindly thank you in advance for time in looking into and trying to resolve this matter. Everytime that I attempt to log in to sidereel, for no reason at all, some crazy prompt comes up that I am redirected to talking about how easy it is to sign into my account and that the only reason why its not signing in, is because my account has not yet been confirmed. I clearly remember confirming my account over a year ago! But whats even weirder and makes the situation worse, is that I dont mind resetting my password or, reconfirming my account. However, whenever I click the link to send the reconfirmation email to my inbox, it does Absolutely nothing, and no reconfirmation email ever ends up getting sent to my email, no matter how many times I click the "send reconfirmation to your email" button. This really makes not the slightest, in fact actually, not the least bit of sence to me. And it seems like since my issue others have recently brought up to attention in this discussion log, that maybe sidereel is being attacked or hacked by viruses, worms or trojans/spyware and its adversely messing up people accounts! I hope that is NOT the case however! Anyway, please see if you can help! My Screen name is either (upper or lowercase K) kwilli23, kwilli11, or kwilli1123. My email is Paris0138@aol.com. Thanks again, and please see what you can do to help me make sense of this strangeness, and so I can gracefully go back to tracking and organizing and arranging my shows as normal!

Hi Kev!! So sorry to hear you're locked out of your account (and aren't receiving the emails to fix the problem)! I'm happy to help you out, and you absolutely shouldn't lose a thing.
If the reconfirmation email that you've attempted to send yourself isn't showing up in your spam or being blocked by a filter, it's possible that your AOL server hates us and is bouncing all incoming automated emails from us. Sadly, it happens. If that's the case, you can either:
a) contact AOL and see what their problem is! ;) -OR-
b) give me an alternate (non-AOL) email that I can change your account to, to see if you have better luck receiving the email elsewhere!
Let me know what I can do!

I have been able to log in to my account with beethaanyy@aol.com normally, i think the username is bsocks, but just now it started saying that it hasn't been activated. It has never mentioned this to me before, and I have tried multiple times, added the info@sidereel.com to my email contacts, etc, it won't work, I never get the email.

I've had my account for about a year now and I haven't had any problems. But yesterday I tried to log on and it said that my account had not been confirmed yet, so I tried to confirm it, I sent myself the email and all, but when I did it said my account was already confirmed, so I tried to log on again, but it said the same thing, that my account wasn't confirmed?!?!?! Please help!!?!?!?!

I have tried sending myself the change password email but it does not work!!! I had this thought, do you think it matters if I have the '.au' right at the end of my email address, and if so, do you think you might be able to change the email address to just 'irina.dubrovina.au@gmail.com'?? I know it probably doesn't matter but nothing else seems to work!!!! :(

I can't get into my account because it says that i need to confirm my email. I wasn't getting the emails from my aol email, so i emailed sidereel and gave them another email, bmacdonald96@gmail.com. And my username is blair12343. Then i got a confirmation email on the gmail account, but when i click "confirm my email", it takes me to the log in page and says that the confirmation is invalid and that i might have already confirmed my email. So i try to log in, and it still says that i can't log in because i need to confirm my email. I have been trying to fix this for a while, so if you could please try to fix this, that would be great. Thank you.

Hi Blair! The point of confirming your email is to verify your identity and that the email actually belongs to you, which is why you need to confirm the email you signed up with. I just got your email request to update your email from your AOL account to your Gmail account, so I'll be happy to do so for you now. But keep in mind that sending an email request won't automatically update your account information in the system – someone has to actually physically change it for you first! :)
You should receive a new confirmation email to your gmail account shortly.

Same as above for me. Suddenly lastnight I can't log in anymore. It tells me I need toi confirm my address. I receive the email to confirm but clicking the link/following the instructions of the email does nothing. Each time I get the exact same message that my address hasn't been confirmed. There's a good chance this is system wide so you guys might want to think about fixing it as your own system is keeping your members OUT of your site.

If you're not sure which email is associated with your account, let me know what your username is and I'll be happy to look it up for you!

Yes this IS incredibly frustrating, perhaps looking into an alternate method of system purging would be smart seeing as you're aware of the frustration this particular yearly purge causes. We confirm our email addresses when we join. Rather than having us reconfirm every year you could easily search the system for inactive accounts (ie, remove accounts that have not logged in for 3 or 6 months ... you would still accomplish removing inactive users without personally inconveniencing them.

checkinitout can not login, I've had confirmation emails sent to two addresses, sangye@gmail.com & yushi_tera@live.ca

Neither of them get me into checkinitout and when I ask to have the confirmation email resent to yushi_tera@live.ca it says the email doesn't exist ... which is odd cause I was sent this on April 8th Very confusing.

Sangye. You need to confirm the email that's registered with your account. I'm not sure why this is still unclear to you. The system will send you a confirmation email to any email you input, but if that email isn't associated with any registered account, it won't serve any purpose.

Hi Dani! Sorry to hear that. What's the username you're trying to log into? It's possible that your email server is rejecting incoming email from SideReel.

I recently deleted my old email account because it was being spammed. I am unable to get to my account without sending myself a confirmation notice, but the email address no longer exists, what should I do?

I'm having exactly the same problem - my old email was closed because it was being spammed and although I've been using my sidereal account for months, it now says the account isn't verified and is sending emails to the closed account. Can I do the same thing please?

Sure, I'll need to know the original email as well as a new email you'd like associated with your account.
