Help! I'm Locked out of my SideReel Account!

I've reset my password, and i still can't log in (username or email). I've cleared all my cookies and restarted my browser and it's still not working.

I don't want to start a new account because i have all my shows tracked and "watched".

After several trys, I was able to get the email conformation email sent to me. I clicked on the link and I got this message: "Error sending the confirmation: Confirmation token can't be blank". I tried typing my email in again, but it did not work. I am still having the same login problems, so I think the fix did not work.

I kinda worked around it, since I have two different email addresses. I changed the email address I was using for my sidereel account. I was able to confirm that email address and everything was working great all day yesterday, but today I am back to square one. I am having the same login problems, as I was 2 days ago. I can't stay logged in. I don't know what is wrong, but I wish you guys would get this fixed soon. I use sidereel everyday, and this is getting to be a pain. my email is butterflykiwi@live.com and user name is bb1mm

Yay!!! After 5 or 6 tries, I got the confirmation email, once I clicked the link, it signed me right in. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got a email but it was for the wrong email address. it was sent to an email that i never used at sidereel. the email i use is givepeasachanc2@aol.com which has still never got an email confirmation.

I use givepeasachanc2@aol.com to login into sidereel and never rosaleenblack101@gmail.com. I only used rosaleenblack101@gmail.com in order to be able to write on this blog because i don't have a twitter or facebook accounts. i got an email confirmation on rosaleenblack101@gmail.com so i went there and added my other email thinking that would solve the problem but im still not able to login.

Hi rosaleen,
Sorry for the confusion - but Get Satisfaction (this support site we're on right now) is completely separate from SideReel, so the logins are not related. When you're on SideReel and provide your login credentials with the correct email (givepeasachance2@aol.com) and password, you should receive a new confirmation email with which to confirm your email and regain access to your SideReel account.

Update: If you've already provided your login credentials and sent yourself a new confirmation email, please add info@sidereel.com to your contact list and check your spam folder, then try sending it again.

I got a confirmation e-mail and I clicked on the link but then I get a error "Error sending confirmation:•Email not found"
I han't got another e-mail and when I type in my email it says the same error again.

I have the same problem. I have an account and as of today, it keeps saying incorrect information, need to confirm your account. So I clicked on the link in the confirmation email and it keeps saying incorrect information, email not found! My email is yuliyasalo@gmail.com and I'm using IE 9.

Hi dlmfrenkel,
The issue is that you signed up for your 'dlmfrenkel' account using 'debbie_l_morris@hotmail.com' but haven't yet confirmed your email. Therefore in order to fix this problem and be able to use the site normally again, you'll have to confirm that email. You can't confirm with a different email because it isn't registered on SideReel.

i havent been able to log onto my sidereel account for about 2 weeks now. it says i have the wrong password. i tried clicking on i forget my password and i put in my email. it said that it sent me instructions but i never got it. pls help.

I can't sign into my account, when I tried to sign an error came up asking to confirm my e-mail. I entered my address and followed the instructions on the reconfirmation e-mail, the problem is that I end up back at the same page asking me to confirm my e-mail. Its a never ending cycle despite having done everything possible to ensure otherwise.

Hi zerokaj, I'm a bit confused about the issue you're describing. In order to confirm the address that's associated with your account, you need to enter that address in the prompt to re-send the confirmation email to that specific email address. You can't use a different address to confirm your account.

I'm using 2 different accounts in the sense that in order to log into the getsatisfaction page I use my Google account.

When I tried to confirm my e-mail I entered my hotmail account which is the account I registered with. I received the e-mail I opened it clicked on the link and received the following error: "Error sending confirmation: confirmation token cannot be blank". I've repeated this process several times and each time tried to log in prior to getting a reconfirmation e-mail being sent.

Just to further clarify I had logged into Sidereel on Sunday, left it logged in for a few hours, returned to the site, tried to log in and got an error message stating that I needed to confirm my e-mail address.

Hi zerokaj, just to clarify, the username you provided is registered under 'kaj986@hotmail.co.uk' - is this the email you sent the confirmation to? According to our system this email hasn't been confirmed, and you should only be receiving the 'blank token' error if you've already confirmed.
If you're still receiving the error when you attempt to confirm that specific email, please send a screenshot including the error message and the URL.

I've received the reconfirmation email twice and clicked the link and each time I get the same error message after clicking or copying and pasting the link sent in the confirmation email "Error sending confirmation: confirmation token cannot be blank".

i've been using this account for a long time now and suddenly I'm unable to log in in order to watch the new episodes appearing in my schedule for this week.

Just to be clear, you've already tried logging in after receiving this error? The blank token error means you've already confirmed your account (and you can't do so more than once), meaning you should be able to log in with your SideReel account just fine.

Hello,

For the last few weeks I have been trying to verify my account so that I can use certain functions. However, I have hit the "Resend Confirmation Email" link like a dozen times. I have also tried to use the search here to see if I could find a fix. I have added info@sidereel.com, as well as disabled my emails security all together. With no luck. Can I get a little help or advice.

Also, This really isnt a problem, but more of a feature missing. I see theres stuff here for facebook and twitter. BUT nothing for google+. Id love to see the little +1 feature added to your site. The other feature is some form of app for the Android market. I loved the iphone app, but after jumping the apple shit and getting the android its made me a little sad to not have access to one of my favorite apps.

Thanks you all for your time, and effort in building and maintain sidereel. Short of google's website, its probably my highest use site :)

Thanks for the input! Some sort of integration with Google+ is a really interesting idea! We'll definitely keep our eye out for opportunities! :)
And our Android app is coming! Just going through some last-minute bug testing before it can go live in the Android market.

Just to confirm, you've inputted '[deleted]' into the confirmation email prompt and you're not receiving any email to confirm your account (and you've checked your spam folders)?

What prompt, there isnt one.. When I log in all i see is a Resend confirmation email which points to https://www.sidereel.com/users/confir... waits a sec, shows this url https://www.sidereel.com/users?messag... and refreshes my user page. I've waited 20 minutes, ive waited 24 hours, ive waited a full week. Ive checked my inbox, spam box nothing. Ive added the info@sidereel.com address to my contacts like recommended in previous post and nothing. Ive also disabled my spam functions so that all mail goes to my inbox.

I can still use the site, I can add sites to be monitored, and edit my profile.. I just cant do anything beyond that, cause it tells me my account still is not verified.

So have you been able to successfully input your email to resend a confirmation at all, or are you halted before you're able to do that in the first place? Lowering your security and adding info@sidereel.com to your contacts won't help if you aren't able to first send yourself the email in the first place.

Gotcha. In that case, make sure you're NOT logged into Facebook on the same browser. What might be happening is that you're getting auto-logged in to a separate unrelated account, which is preventing you from confirming the account you're trying to confirm.
Once you've logged out of Facebook, try logging in again to your '[deleted]' account and resending your confirmation. Let me know if it still doesn't allow you to send it!

Ok I made sure to logout of facebook. However, prior to that, I had actually used IE (stock), to see if the problem was browser related and got the same result.

Logging out of Facebook did not help. I also dont have twitter just incase that was included in this theory.

any other idea?

I tried editing your email and then changing it back to what it should be, which should automatically send you a confirmation email. Our tech team says your email is not blocking email from SideReel, so you should receive it. Let me know!

Ok so I changed it, and I got a confirmation email (instantly), which worked.. however when I changed it back to my email address i got nothing. Just the Resend confirmation email. and nothing in my inbox / spam folder. Whats wrong with my email address?

Yep, like i said it lets me log in and add stuff, just some of the features want me to confirm my email before allowing me to use them.. And seeing that link is a little annoying to me :) It just wont go away :(

I do have some filters setup can you tell if any of these keywords might be triggered from you email: Zynga, Borders, Books-a, or Bestbuy? I didnt see anything directly in the email i got, but just wanted to make sure.

I fixed the problem, something about one of those filters that I setup was causing the email to be auto deleted. I just removed all of the filters that I had so that there was nothing hanging. I'm not sure which it was, but my account is now fully verified. Please let your tech team know that it was nothing on your end. And Im sorry I missed this and wasting your time.
One last request If you would, would you please remove my email address from previous post, I seem to not be able to edit the post that far back.

Ever since yesterday, I can't login to my sidereel account which I've been using for about a year. I tried the option it said of resending an email to confirm my account but it never turned up. I did check my spam folder and I've recieved emails from info@sidereel.com regularly for updates on my shows, so I have no idea why I didn't get the email.

Can you help me with this? Why is it all of a sudden not letting me in?

I have tried and tried and tried to resend the conformation email so I can access my sidereel account and the email NEVER comes through... I have added info@sidereel.com like suggested in other posts but still haven't received the email... it's been 24 hrs shouldn't it have come through by now???

Hi Bianca! If you don't mind sharing your email, we can look up your email and make sure its not blocking incoming mail from SideReel.
Have you also checked your spam folder, as well as any other email filters you might have set up?

I have the exact same problem! the site tells me this when i try to log in:

I have tried to confirm it like 5 times, and it just keeps telling me:

"Error sending confirmation:
Confirmation token can't be blank"

You say that means I have already confirmed it, but why cant i log in then? I am surely using the right username and password, it is saved in the browser. I have been a member for a very long time, and i have never experienced this. What is the solution??

What is the username you're attempting to log in as? While I'm sure you know your username and password, it's possible that the account is associated with a different email than the one you're inputting for confirmation.

I've had no problem logging on until just now. It says I need to confirm my account, but I'm not receiving the e-mail. I get messages from sidereel all the time and it's not even showing up in my junk mail folder. Help.

Hi, I've been using sidereel for the past year and <3 it! However, I tried to log in the other day and was asked to verify my email address... this reconfirmation has not worked and contines to not work. Therefore, I seem to have been blocked out of my account and cannot keep up to date with the shows that I am tracking.

I must chance this because it was blocked.

I've added the info@sidereel.com e-mail address and I frequently check my spam filter, but I never receive the new confirmation e-mail. What else can I do? I don't want to create a new account. My username is rubensfan

Hi m_dhg, if you're still not receiving the email, it's likely because your email provider is blocking incoming email from SideReel. If you have a different email that you have access to, I can try changing it for you to see if you receive it there.

I haven't been able to log into my account for 2 weeks and it happened all of a sudden. I keep getting a message that says reconfirm account, but when i type in my address it tells me wait a few minutes and i should receive one, I don't get any e-mails. Whats worse is first someone was responding to the first couple e-mails and I thought there would be a resolution and now no one has responded to the last 2. I confirmed my account a couple years ago so I dont know why im having this problem. With all of the sidereel promoting I do amongst my friends I'm annoyed my account is being so uncooperative.

i added info@sidereel to my contacts already, and i get my sidereel calenday updates, so i dont think thats the problem. i have another e-mail address where should I send it?
