Mistaken Underrating

I am thinking that the review of James Brown's Funky Cheistmas was arbitrarily given three stars as a matter of expedition because the reviewer simply did not take the time to give it an honest listen.

Hi James,

From our FAQ:
The editors use a 1 to 5 star system. It is important to note that albums are rated only within the scope of an artist's own work; we won't compare a Miles Davis album to the latest album by Britney Spears.

The rating on James Brown's Funky Christmas compares this album to the other albums in his catalog, so while it is a real jam, and a terrific Christmas album, the editors feel as though it fits somewhere in the middle of his overall discography.
