Mobile app and Website Tied Together

I find myself rating albums on both the mobile app (iPhone) and the website. However, my ratings do not transfer from one to the other so I have to rate everything twice if I want to see them on both my laptop and my phone. I have the same user id for both the app and the website.

Is there a chance that this can be changed so that if I rate an album on the app it will show up on the website and vise versa? Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately the ratings portion of the iOS app was built off of a legacy system that is no longer being supported. This was an unfortunate casualty of, but I'm afraid that the best solution is to rate the albums you love (or hate) on the website and then access the website via a browser when you're mobile.

Sync Issues.

Having just discovered your site after googling "music equivalent of IMDb" I was pleasantly surprised to find AllMusic and an iPhone app. However after spending a couple of hours rating albums last night on my phone, I've logged into the main site this morning only to be told that I haven't yet rated any albums.

I've double checked the app and the ratings are still there, but for some reason its not syncing to the main site.

Help!

This is very sad, this problem wouldn't occur on IMDb or GoodReads for instance, I would recommend removing the rating function from your iPhone app if the two can't be tied together as it's quite frustrating to have wasted all that time.

Thanks for the quick reply though.
