Heres the issue... Ive had a sidereel account for a long time, and then they added the facebook link thing. Now, i am automatically connected to my facebook version of my account, which is fine by me, BUT, in order to subscribe to tv shows I need to confirm my email address. Since ive had a regular sidereel account for a long time, obviously my email is already in use. I cannot find anyway to link my facebook account to my long-time regular account, but i want to use my facebook account since it logs me in automatically every time. How can I permanently destroy my original sidereel account so that I am able to use my email to confirm my facebook account and subscribe to shows. Thank you.

Hi Mike, you can just connect your Facebook account to your original SideReel account, but to do that, you need to be logged in on SideReel when you click the Facebook Connect button. It sounds like when you did click to Facebook Connect previously you were not signed in on SideReel, so the system assumed you did not yet have a SideReel account so created a new one for you.

For your current situation, I'd recommend disconnecting from Facebook entirely first, then logging in with your original SideReel username, then clicking the Facebook Connect button to connect that account with your Facebook.

Here's how to disconnect from Facebook:

Visit Facebook and log in, then click the Applications button at the bottom left. Click on 'Edit Applications' then from the drop down menu, select Authorized. You should see the SideReel application on that list. Click the 'x' next to the application and confirm you want to remove it.

Next, visit SideReel, log in to your original account, click the Facebook Connect button, and follow the directions then your original username will be connected with Facebook.

Let me know if you have any questions!
