Hi All Music team, just wanted to say keep up the good work on album reviews, it must be tough in this environment of minimal ground breaking artists.

Hopefully your business is going well, however I can see there could be major improvements in terms of engagement with your readers.

The all music emails could promote and highlight new up and coming artists , and the website could be improved in speed.
Surprising also that with the depth of info on your site, that the Facebook page is also sparsely active...

Anything in the pipeline to address these? Or is it all good from where you sit?

Cheers, Tom

Thanks for supporting AllMusic and for your kind words.

Regarding highlighting new artists in the newsletter, we try to balance out reviews of exciting lesser-known bands alongside established artists.

We've recently run features in the new release newsletter spotlighting Josh Rouse, Low-Cut Connie, Greta Kline, Editors, Chappo and other more independent artists.

The website speed has been something we've been working on improving over the past several years. We're planning to roll out a new underlying code framework in the next several weeks that will hopefully improve the page load.

The real thing that slows it down are the advertising calls. If you become an AllMusic subscriber, it removes the ads and speeds up the site considerably.

Finally, regarding Facebook, I know a lot of websites and services seem to post multiple times each day and that probably gives them some boost in traffic but we've never wanted to generate content just for content's sake to simply have something out there. We usually post to Facebook and Twitter several times a week when there are new features, interviews, or news items that we feel are important to our audience, but we don't plan to post more often simply to be posting more often.

We also have a Tumblr which is updated with staff picks, our year-in-review selections and anything music-related that catches our eye:
