Hi Carlos! This isn't a windows-only feature! Try using a different browser and see if you're still encountering this error. If so, please send a screenshot of what you're seeing!

Hey Carlos,
Sorry for the lack of update! We're still working out a lot of calendar-related kinks regarding the subscribe feature. Have you tried doing a shift+refresh?

I use facebook to login as well, seems to be a common link to this problem

The calendar does work for most users, which is why we're trying to get to the bottom of the issue for those who aren't able to access it, whether it's browser-related or specific user account related. This particular problem of a blank lightbox window is not a site-wide issue for all users, which is why we're having a hard time duplicating it ourselves to resolve it.

I think the Issue comes from Facebook Login, because I just did an experiment and signed up using one of my alternative emails without using FB/twitter auto login and the calendar works.

When I press the "Subscribe" button to get the iCal-format link to add my shows calendar to my Google Calendar, it seems that the link sidereel provides doesn't take into account my timezone. So when I import into Google Calendar, it shows my shows at (for example) 4:00 instead of 9:00. I can't find an option to fix this in the sidereel settings or in the Google settings anywhere. Has anyone else encountered this and/or know a way to fix it?

This doesn't help the rest of you who either don't see anything in the subscribe box or who get errors when they try to import, but I have solved my problem.

If anyone else is experiencing the issue where adding the link to google calendar (or anywhere probably) doesn't include any timezone information, it can be fixed with a php script that corrects the poorly formatted .ics file.

I cant take all the credit for this file as its based on something I found on the internet. I have made some modifications to correspond to the file that sidereel produces (for example, the last "str_replace" line in the php file removes the unnecessary "Watch " before the show name in every event.

All you have to do is create a file called "index.php" on whatever web server you have available, and copy in the following (making sure to change the URL at the top to correspond to the one sidereel gives you when you press the subscribe button). You then give google calendar (or whatever) your "...php" link instead of the "...ics" link

Note, you may also need to add to the web server a file called ".htaccess" that includes only this one line:

php_flag allow_url_fopen on

(that will allow reading the .ics file from an external site)

Also note that this is for the Eastern time zone (and includes rules for daylight savings). You'll need to modify a little bit if you aren't in the same time zone.

It looks like my SideReel calendar is there in Outlook under Calendars. But everytime Outlook does a send/recieve I get errors saying: Task: Internet Calender Subscriptions Reprot Error... It says something about a floating time? Then the send/recieve box stays open showig the errors (for every TV program I'm tracking) until I cancel all. What is this and how do I get it to stop?

Hey!

I'm a mac user and I've subscribed to the SideReel calendar for months now and it still doesn't work! It says it's added and working but nothing appears on my laptop calendar, nor iPhone. Tried other friends to do it and it doesn't work for them in either one of their devices. How can I fix this?

Thank you!

Thanks guys - we're (finally) working on pinpointing the exact issues that still exist with it so we can fix it once and for all! Aside from the fact that it doesn't appear to work on iCal at all, do you have other feedback based on your past experiences with the 'feature'?

Not really, before it was working fine(meaning ical subscription was showing all shows on the iphone and mac) and then it just stopped working, now nothing shows for that ical subscription

Thanks for the feedback! We're glad it at least works on Google, but we'd still love to make sure it works everywhere.
What calendar app are you trying to use it with on the iPhone, and have you attempted to sync it directly there?

Unfortunately other important on-site features took precedence in the meantime, and users still use the subscribe feature as is. It has been functional until recently when a gcal update caused it to break for iCal. You certainly don't need to use the subscribe feature in order to use the site itself!

I understand how unimportant this issue might sound but for those SideReel addicts it's quite a big thing! I understand it might be working somewhere else but with the devices I have, it doesn't work and I don't use Google nor think of it

So please, pleaaaase, when you can make it work again!

We'll all be eagerly waiting! :)

Hi miles,
I'm a bit confused about the issue you're describing. Are you trying to import into a web calendar or a desktop calendar like iCal?
Or are you referring to our Daily Calendar Email updates?

This issue has been going on for months. The tracker calendar simply does not show on iCal. When refreshing the new calendar created disappears completely from the list.

I really want to see this feature back.

Hi Dario! Sadly, it's been even longer than that, and we're sorry that we haven't been able to prioritize this feature. I'll definitely pass along your feedback and see if it can be bumped up the ladder.
