Hi Nasha,
Users have asked why some links seem to be missing from the search link list for certain shows, and it's because in some cases, they may have had to be removed due to copyright claims.

Some search results have been removed from your view due to DMCA requests.

After this appeared all the videos sites I have tried are unable to load. Putlocker and Sockshare get a 503 error and vidbux and vidxden simply stay at the buffering stage forever. What's wrong? It has nothing to do with my internet connection or computer as nothing has changed and it's working fine. Are these websites doing this to avoid the stupid bills or w/e the annoying ass US shitty government keep passing? It is getting ridiculous

Hi Haven! Sorry for the confusion, but SideReel removing videos from the search results has nothing to do with whether or not a video loads or not. We're not affiliated with the sites that are submitted to SideReel by users, so if you're having trouble loading a particular video, I suggest contacting that video host directly for troubleshooting their player.
If the link is broken altogether, feel free to report it to spamsucks@sidereel.com (or by clicking the 'report link' button) so that we can remove it from the list as well to avoid further confusion!

There is no confusion as I am already aware of this. I am looking for someone to shed some light on this. Am I the only person experiencing this problem or simply the first to post about it here? I would have preferred to keep my topic separate from this as I don't feel they're very related. It seems a little too coincidental for all of the sites to not be working any more, contacting them each and asking why doesn't seem like it'll render any useful information.

I apologize, it just seemed in your initial post that you were insinuating that the two were related (otherwise I'm not sure why you brought it up in the same topic) - I certainly didn't mean to jump to conclusions, or misdirect your topic!
Unfortunately we can't provide any more useful information than the video hosts themselves, since we have no insight or control over their sites' content, but if you let me know specifically what show and episode you were looking for, I'll be happy to take a look!

@Haven this has nothing to do with sidereel. Don't complain when your illegally hosted content goes missing. Buy the damn shit if you want to watch it that bad. It works fine for me in Budapest, Hungary so I imagine you might just have intermittent internet problems right now. Also, try clearing your cache and restarting your computer. Sometimes those sites get 'stuck'.

Hi DAVID. That's pretty god damn hypocritical coming from someone who also uses this website. Thank you for the absolute lack of any useful information in your reply but it's nice to know there are people like you out there that make me feel one hundred times better about myself for many very good reasons. Have a lovely day!

@Haven You know nothing about me. I, in fact, do buy the TV shows I watch. However, I don't always have the discs on me or access to US shows such as right now during my semester in Hungary.

Anyway, I'm glad I could make your day 100 times better by reminding you that complaining and whining in the sidereel support forums about issues unrelated to sidereel is kinda pointless. I also suggested ways you might remedy your problem. However, you seemed to overlook those in your rash response (=

SideReel doesn't host any content – it simply provides a place for users like you to submit, share, and search for links to watch TV online. We are in full compliance with the DMCA, and if we receive take-down requests from content owners, reported links are removed.

But what about us who dont live in the US? We can't wach any shows now that you remowed all the links? Even the links you have to pay for only works in the US. Sidereel is killing itself this way.

Hi selsbaek! While we're sad to hear that your options are more limited, the DMCA is the law, and we've always been in full compliance with any take-down requests.

They are not limited, there are non. Can't you make some kind of (legal) arrangement with the european Itunes?

We don't currently have links to European iTunes, but I'll certainly look into the possibility of included Featured links from them!

It seems strange to me as alot of shows now are dead.
And you still allow fake adding to the show?

If this was a DMCA Request they would have to send you a epiosde link to remove.

What you are saying is they have sent you a request for all these shows to be removed altogether?

Strange as DMCA Requests are per link not for full shows.
Most DMCA Request are not really legalish as you don't host the shows and no one as far as i know can be taken to court for having 3rd party links?(Grey Area)

It's also upto each countrys laws regarding DMCA as to where your servers are.
This has nothing to do with american law outside the US!!

Simple put each country has its own laws regarding copyright!!
Some times there's nothing even the copy right owners can do.

Instead of wasting time send these DMCA request, which is just a waste of time", try sending them to the Video hosting companys first, but i don't think the content owners are that smart.

I have seen many times in europe content/copy right owners blocked in court for asking to remove copy right content.

Well my 2 cents!!

Hi sean,
We appreciate your concern and your input, but we're still in compliance with any take-down requests we receive.
Links can still be added to any show that's listed on the site, but as usual, any links that have been determined to contain infringing content by the content owners is subject to removal.

Hello Alex,

I think we both know that once you have cleaned out a tv show on your list for free links, they can never be submitted again!!

But from your reply --> but as usual, any links that have been determined to contain infringing content by the content owners is subject to removal.

Contains infringing contents what i like,Well that mean's every link in Sidereel??

So what happens now as a little bird told me that there going to be request on every link you have to remove?

If thats the case what happens to Sidereel then,we all know the FACT is people come to this site for the links and links only,if all Sidreels links for FREE are gone you will lose 50 -80% of your traffic?

If this was me i would move your site offshore?-->As i said each country has ts own laws.

Cheers guys

Hi Sean,
Thanks for your feedback, but your statement is actually not true at all. Links in their entirety are never simply "cleaned out" for a TV show, and when we do remove links due to a takedown notice, that doesn't mean new links for that show cannot be added.

Hi,
I was watching Criminal Minds episodes and started back in season one the other day. Today when I got on to watch them the site that I had gotten to actually work no longer has any links in any of the episodes (even the ones that I was watching the other day). Is there a reason why links would no longer be on the links results? Thanks!
