Although SideReel is an American company, shows originate from all over the world, and are often posted by the date they originally air in the country from which they originate. So Canadian shows (e.g., The Listener) might have the original airing in Canada days, weeks, or even months before it's picked up in the States. Users are correct to post them when they are first available so users who desire to do so can have the pleasure of seeing them as soon as possible.
It could be worse. Imagine being 6 months (or years!) behind the original airdate of these shows! I first came to SideReel because I got tired of being spoiled on every plot twist because Australia was so far behind on the shows.** I stayed because there is such flexibility in the process and I love the site.
For example, one of the great things about the playlist is that you can ignore when they show up, and just watch them whenever you desire.
** On the other hand, Australians do sometimes get movies a long time before they ever show in the States, so I guess it evens out. :)
