SideReel is a site where anyone can add links to video content. Some unscrupulous users use this to try and post links to spam, ads, or malware sites. We at SideReel spend a lot of time and effort every day to combat these posts.

Here's what you can do to protect yourself, and help SideReel deal with these malicious users.

1) Make sure you're protected from online threats. Use a pop-up blocker and up-to-date anti-virus software
2) If you detect a virus or other kind of malware threat, on a SideReel link, use the "Report Link" button on SideReel to report a virus. We'll take action as soon as we can, usually banning the domain and the user from SideReel forever.
3) Make sure to update your filters! You can filter link lists so that you only see links from the domains you trust on SideReel.
