Tracked shows disappearing

Shows I track keep disappearing and shows I used to track (but have stopped tracking) keep reappearing.

It's bad enough to have old shows on my tracked list (especially with the ridiculous new display); however, if I can't be sure that my current tracked shows stay tracked, it makes using sidereel pretty useless.

There was an issue with some missing info including tracked shows for users in the move from the old version of the site to the new one, but our team fixed that up late last week. Your shows should now be retrieved, but if they aren't, please let us know your username, the specific shows you should have that you're missing, and what browser you're using so we can look into it.

Also, have you tracked new shows since the new version of the site that are not showing up on your profile? Let me know those shows as well plus if when you clicked the "Track" button on the show pages it changed to "Tracking."

As for my jenjenns account, I added Charmed and Dollhouse (in addition to other shows) last night but it has now disappeared. I also added Boardwalk Empire which is still there. (It's the only new show which hasn't disappeared from my account.) So it seems inconsistent.

Also, one of my accounts has completely disappeared:
username jenjenns2
email: jenjenns [+] sidereel2 [at] gmail [dot] com

Even though it says the account doesn't exist, the system is not allowing me to create a new account for jenjenns2. (I like to have two accounts: one for current shows; one for older shows that I'm catching up on.)

Will there be a way to get our lost shows back? Will this happen in the future?

Dollhouse and Charmed are both now appearing. (I'm not sure whether you added them.) I also added two other shows that I had been tracking and was pleased to discover the system has kept track of which shows I've already watched. Which makes me wonder whether you can query your database and send me a list (via email, not the board) of all the shows I have ever tracked/watched. This would be very helpful in terms of recreating my original list, given that so many shows have disappeared.

Things seemed okay, but sometime between yesterday afternoon and this morning (October 1-2), the system stopped tracking The Colbert Report.

Any idea when this will be fixed?

It's been over 2 weeks and you haven't responded yet. Yesterday, I lost yet another show(s) again and this is getting frustrating. Any idea on when it will be fixed? (The show I know I lost was Fringe, but there may have been others.)

Sorry for missing the further comments here! Tracking new shows should be working just fine now. Let us know if you still have any trouble.

No, I'm still experiencing shows appearing/disappearing seemingly at random. It's difficult to keep track of all the shows that this is happening with. However, I can see that - as of now, anyways - Weeds has disappeared again. Dollhouse reappeared a few days ago and I have marked episodes as watched - but on the main tracker page, it's showing that the next episode to watch is the pilot. These are just two examples that I know for sure.

Also, my other account (jenjenns2) still isn't working (see above for details). Ideally, I would use this second account for older / completed series and my regular account for active shows. Any ETA on when it will be fixed and/or when/how I can access it would be appreciated.

Just saw that this is marked as solved, but, as noted above when I received your reply, I am still experiencing problems. Since I wrote the above, Dollhouse has disappeared again and Weeds has reappeared. It is this unexplained reappearance/disappearance that I find frustrating. Do I need to submit a new thread or will you respond to this one?

There was a fix to the original issue with tracked shows missing, but there is now a separate issue with the system that our team is looking into now. We'll be glad to keep you updated here.

As for your 2nd account, what's happening when you try to log in? Also, can you make sure you're trying to log in directly on beta.sidereel.com instead of the old version of the site at sidereel.com? Log in will now only work on beta.sidereel.com.

Thanks Kendra. I have been trying to login to beta.sidereel.com, but have been unsuccessful; however, when I tried it again just now, I was able to get in. I'll have to review to see if all the shows are there (as this still seems to be an issues), but I'm glad to have access to the second account again.

Okay, here we go again. It may be a browser compatibility issue. As noted 30 minutes ago, I was able to sign into my second account (which seemed like a success). However, it's 30 minutes later and I tried to sign in with a different browser and am getting the old error message again. So...

Browser: Chrome (not sure how to check the version) - allows me to login as either first or second user

Browser: IE 8.0.7600.16385 - allows me to login as either first or second user.

Browser: Firefox 3.6.11 - allows me to login with first user account (jenjenns), but is more temperamental with allowing me to login with second user account (jenjenns2). (Sometimes it lets me in; other times the login fails.) When the login fails, I get this message: "Sorry, your information is incorrect. Please try again or create an account or reset your password."

Hope that helps.

Now that I can access my second account, I have tried to stop tracking some shows in my primary account (jenjenns). When I mark Stop Tracking, they seem to disappear; however, the next time I login, they are there again (e.g., Temple Grandin, In Treatment and many many more). Also, with some shows (e.g., The Colbert Report), even though all the episodes are marked as watched, the system is indicating that the next episode for me to watch is the pilot.

Is there something else I should be doing to have them no longer show?
