Unable to read the entire CD reviews due to them being cut off by the advertisements between the review and track listings. I understand the need for advertising but I'd like to be able to read an entire review.

I can't let disappear, replace or minize the advertisement text banner over a review so I can't read the last part of a review

The AdChoice ads at the bottom of Artist Biographies and Album Reviews block you from reading the whole review. Sometimes if you refresh 6 to 10 times you can get the whole review. I understand that ads generate revenue but the site has to work too.

Thanks for your excellent site. However, at the moment I can not read the whole biography on an artist's page because the tab to expand it is not showing up any more so the main portion cannot be read. Could you take a look at this please? Many thanks.

How do you minimize the ads? Often the biographies and reviews are obscured.

Thanks!

This is a question about the ads. I don't mind ads in and of themselves, but as I attempt to read artist biographies or album reviews, the ads prevent me from reading more than the first portion of any bio or review.

I've never experienced that before on this site and it considerably mars my experience as a visitor. Nothing I do helps -- clicking on the ads only takes me to corresponding websites and the ads remain a hindrance to the complete reading of any article.

Please tell me of a way to read things properly or find another way to display the ads.

Thank you.

This seemed to all happen around the same time so we are trying to determine if there was a bad ad that came through and messed up our layout, or if a certain browser caused this issue.

This is obviously not the expected behavior and we'd like to get it fixed!

If the folks in this thread could let us know what browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc) and version of the browser you are using?

I use the latest version of Internet Explorer with Windows 7. It happens with multiple ads. Ancestry.com,Bank of America, Google Play, PDF Viewer Download, Lose 15 Lbs in 4 weeks..

It's like the Bio or review doesn't expand as the ad loads..If I refresh enough times I eventually get it.

Additionally, if you can let us know which ads are on the page, that might help us track it down. Our guess is that an ad on the page may be hanging up or breaking the page load process.

Thanks folks.

Internet Explorer Browser is what I use.

The Ads range from Olympics ad by YouTube, to Amazon, to a Child care safety banner. There seem to be many different kinds of ads. Thanks for your help and glad you are trying to fix it.

When I look up a band's page and go to the Overview tab, I cannot see the entire overview. Instead, I get the first few lines of the overview and the rest is blocked out by an ad space and I don't see a Read More button. Currently, I'm using Internet Explorer 9 as my primary web browser. There doesn't seem to be any way to see the full overview. For instance, the following is what I get when I look up The Olivia Tremor Control. (The exact url is: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/the-ol.... As you can see from the following, the overview gets cut off after the words "all influenced by the likes of the Beatles, the Beach "

Any ideas as to what's going on?

Thanks.

p.s. I not only have this issue with Olivia Tremor Control, but with all artists I look up over the last few days.

biography

As much a concept as a band, the Olivia Tremor Control was one of the most visible and innovative members of the Elephant 6 collective, a coterie of like-minded, lo-fi indie groups -- including the Apples in Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Secret Square -- who shared musicians, ideas, and sensibilities. the Olivia Tremor Control was led by singers/songwriters/multi-instrumentalists Will Cullen Hart and Bill Doss, natives of the small, isolated town of Ruston, Louisiana, where they struck up friendships with fellow outsiders Robert Schneider (who went on to front the Apples) and Jeff Mangum (the auteur behind Neutral Milk Hotel).

It appears that this is happening exclusively on Internet Explorer over the past ~48 hours or so.

We're not sure if this is something that IE is doing differently with Javascript now, or if our ad partners have a batch of improperly formatted ads that have just rolled out.

We're investigating.

Upon investigation,
This seems to be an issue with a certain type of ad in Internet Explorer 9 we believe.

We just saw it start happening this weekend so it is possible some kind of new update to IE is causing this.

If you refresh the page, hopefully you’ll get a non-broken ad and be able to read the review.

Additionally, trying another browser like Chrome or Firefox may fix it.

Apologies.
We’re working to fix this.

I just checked out the new Dead Can Dance review and the it was not obstructed on the Explorer browser. Checked out several others and the problem does not seem to there at this time. I also tried the Chrome browser and there was no problem with that. Thanks again for your wonderful site and for fixing the problem so quickly.

P.S. Still looking for a Killing Joke "2012" review :)

Still an issue on other pages - on Jamiroquai page for example with Commonwealth Bank advert, or Harry Connick Jr. page with Target advert. Using IE Version 9.0.8112.16421. Thank you.

No, I'm sorry but it ISN'T fixed, just checked Portishead's Dummy review and the exact same problem I have with every single album persists - after years of using this site it may be time to delete it from my favourites - BTW I do not have this prob;em with any other site so to suggest to people they change their browser to properly view all music guide is a joke. such a shame.

I hate that Adsense now covers the bottom of the review section on artists or albums. I was always happy to see ads and ocassionally if one interested me I would click on it BUT now the ads appear over the text and I can't clear the ads to rtead the rest of the text in the review or history. Even if I click on them to open a new tab another just appears in its place so no longer can I read your reviews which I always enjoyed and made your website better than the others. NOW IT IS WORSE AND NO LONGER WORTH VISITING.

too often the overview section cannot be seen completely because it is blocked by an annoying banner ad. sometimes you can expand the overview, but often not.

Cannot delete ad obscuring album reviews. Can find no way to skip or delete ad to read lower part of album reviews. This is very annoying and I may have to rely on another album review site for my info if this isn't something easily remedied.
