Oh boy, this would be fabulous! I'm often in record stores navigating allmusic on my cell phone and let me tell you it's not pretty!

Either that or a mobile app.

Agreed. The top bar with the search field is too wide for mobile phone displays, and doesn't zoom with the rest of the site. Makes the site unusable on mobile. Start providing a mobile-specific site, or an app. Or at least fix the zooming issue.

Hi Garth,

Thank you for your feedback. It's been on our developers' radar for a while, but I'll let them know there's even more demand for it. In the meantime, I'll recommend the AllMusic app.

The AllMusic app by Rovi takes the best of AllMusic.com and packages it into a convenient app for mobile music discovery. AllMusic lets you tailor your experience, offering personalized recommendations based on music you already like. Read album reviews and artist biographies, listen to song samples and buy on iTunes, get new release updates and share albums with your friends.

Connect more with music, wherever you go.

- Create your own music profile
- Get personalized recommendations
- View new album releases
- Rate your favorite albums
- See “What’s Hot” by genre
- Buy music from iTunes
- Share your discoveries via Facebook and Twitter

You can find it free, in the iTunes app store. Here's a link:

An Android app or mobile site really would make the site much more useful for me. I hardly use a computer to access your site and actually struggle through the search bar issue on my Android devices just to get your quality content. iOS devices have become a small portion of the market. It would be great if you could come up with dpsomething for the rest of us.

Hi Ben,
The redesigned AllMusic, currently at http://beta.allmusic.com and fully rolling out very soon, uses responsive design to autofit the site to your browsing device's screen size. Once the beta replaces the current site, a link on your home screen to AllMusic will serve virtually the same purpose as a mobile app. Check it out.

Well that's a wonderful development! Dismayed that we are going to see yet another redesign though...

Hi JMC,
Give it a shot. The beta has been available to the public for about a month and has gotten overwhelmingly positive feedback, especially among mobile users.

I've given the beta a test run. It's everything I was asking for. Well done, AMG!
